Suspected Stolen Car Crashes In Lurgan
Three men have been arrested after a suspected stolen car was involved in a collision in Lurgan.
The incident occurred on the Silverwood Road on Thursday at around 2.30pm.
The car crashed into a police vehicle after it failed to stop on the Thornberry Road before making off.
A police helicopter was used to track the movements of the vehicle to Lurgan where it was involved in a collision with two vehicles on Silverwood Road.
A 29-year-old man has been charged with two counts of aggravated vehicle taking, three counts of dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, two counts of failing to remain where accident occurred causing damage, two counts of failing to report where accident occurred causing damage, two counts of failing to stop where accident occurred causing damage, and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
A 26-year-old man has been charged with allowing self to be carried and failing to wear a seatbelt.
They are both expected to appear before Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday.
A 15-year-old has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.
