SSE Airtricity To Cut Gas Prices By 10%

SSE Airtricity has announced a 10% cut in gas prices for customers living in the Greater Belfast area.

The Consumer Council has welcomed the price reduction and said average household's will see a £58 annual drop in their gas bills.

Richard Williams, Head of Energy at the Consumer Council ,said: "Households in Greater Belfast can choose between two natural gas suppliers; SSE Airtricity and Firmus Energy. The Consumer Council would therefore encourage all customers to check if they are getting the best possible deal and whether they can make savings by switching their supplier. The Consumer Council website provides a gas price comparison table, which helps consumers compare tariffs and a step by step guide to switching their supplier so that consumers can get the best possible deal for their natural gas."
