Delivery Driver Threatened With Iron Bar In Donaghadee

A delivery driver has been threatened with an iron bar in Donaghadee, Co Down, on Monday morning.

The incident occurred on the Killaughey Road at approximately 6.30am.

Two men pulled the driver from his van, threatened him with an iron bar and demanded money.

They made off with a sum of cash in a dark coloured car.

The driver was left extremely shaken.

Detective Inspector Harry Colgan said: "I am asking anyone with information or anyone who was travelling on Killaughey Road, or surrounding roads at around 6.30am, to get in touch with us. You may have information that could assist the investigation. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101."
