Man dies after being hit by car
A man has died after being hit by a car in Co Antrim last night.
The 35-year-old was hit by the vehicle as he walked along Moorfields Road in Ballymena.
His death brings to 117 the total number of people who have died on Northern Ireland's roads this year.
It also comes at the start of Road Safety Week and the release of figures which show that one in ten children have been hit by a car.

A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.
