NI firm secure consultancy contracts worth £6m

Leading consultancy firm the HELM Corporation, has won contracts worth over £6 million to deliver financial and management consultancy services to government agencies in Africa, Asia and Europe.

The contracts are the latest in a series, which has resulted in a rapid expansion of the company’s international business over the last three years. Its international division is currently involved in projects with a value of over £25 million.

Commenting on the contract's, HELM’s chief executive, Sean Sweeney, said: “The company’s pioneering efforts in government finance in Africa, under the direction of our International Director Mike Frazer, are now being widely recognised. In addition our marketing efforts in the Balkans have delivered several new contracts in that region. Our recent success re-affirms HELM’s international reputation in government financial systems.”

Building on core programmes in the UK and Ireland, HELM has now developed a significant portfolio of projects across the world.

The recent contracts include establishing an expenditure management framework for the government of Ethiopia, developing systems for the management of EU funds in Lithuanian and Estonia and reforming the civil service payroll in Kosovo on behalf of the European Agency for Reconstruction.
