Three Arrested Over Suspected Drugs Find In North Belfast
Three men have been arrested after suspected heroin and drug-related paraphernalia was seized by police in north Belfast.
The drugs were seized during a planned search of a flat in the Cliftonville Road area on Thursday morning.
The men, aged 43, 39 and 27, have been arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A controlled drug and possessing a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.
They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: "We will focus our resources on those who we believe are likely to cause the most harm within the community.
"Heroin can kill - that is a fact - and anyone who is suspected of involvement in the supply of this drug can expect to be arrested by police and presented before the courts.
"Those who deal in this kind of drug should be aware that upon conviction, the supply of any class A drug will attract a lengthy prison sentence."

A 38-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of drugs, worth an estimated £50,000, in east Belfast. He was subsequently charged with being in possession cannabis with intent to supply following the drugs seizure at Garnerville.
