Jean McConville's Daughter To Take Civil Action
The daughter of Jean McConville has instructed lawyers to bring a civil action against those allegedly responsible for the abduction and murder of her mother in 1972.
The Northern Ireland Public Prosecution Service (PPS) confirmed that, following careful consideration of the evidence, seven individuals, including Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams, who were reported to the PPS by the PSNI will not be prosecuted.
In a statement on Tuesday Mr Adams said the decision was "long overdue".
The lawyers representing Helen McKendry are McCue and Partners who are known for the successful prosecution in civil proceedings of the Omagh Bombers.
A representative from the firm said: "The family have waited patiently for the DPP decision. They now wish to determine whether other judicial avenues are open to them to secure justice and accountability for Jean’s murder."

SF Calls For Action On NI Mental Health Services
Sinn Féin has called for more to be done to improve mental health services across the north of Ireland. Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.
