BBC Sports Personality Of The Year To Take Place In Belfast
Tickets for this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year, live in Belfast, will go on sale on Thursday 15 October at 9am.
Taking place in Northern Ireland for the first time, this year's event is live from The SSE Arena, Belfast on Sunday 20 December.
The BBC is working in partnership with Belfast City Council and Tourism NI to bring the arena event of Sports Personality of the Year 2015 to Belfast.
On the night, sporting greats from past and present will gather in the arena to celebrate and look back on what has been a fantastic 12 months of sport. Hosts Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan will welcome the live audience and the millions watching on BBC One to Belfast for this year’s star-studded event.
This year's sporting highlights include Northern Ireland reaching their first major football tournament in 30 years, Chris Froome claiming his second yellow jersey in the Tour de France, England finishing third in the Women’s World Cup, Wayne Rooney becoming the Three Lions’ top scorer, England’s Ashes triumph, Great Britain in their first Davis Cup final since 1978, a Rugby World Cup taking place on home soil, swimmer Adam Peaty setting a new world record at the World Swimming Championships and gold medals for Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Greg Rutherford at the World Athletics Championships.
Tickets are priced at £45 and will be limited to six per person.

Deric Henderson of the Press Association has been awarded the Journalist of the Year title The Belfast Telegraph lifted the title for Coca-Cola CIPR Newspaper of the Year, and the BBC's Spotlight Programme won the Coca-Cola CIPR Scoop of the Year and the Coca-Cola CIPR Current Affairs Programme of the Year for its Irish Robinson Investigation.

Warrenpoint-based Pflexx Sports is targeting new business across Great Britain, Europe and the US, with support from Invest Northern Ireland. The company's £90,000 investment will see Pflexx Sports undertake online advertising and key customer visits over the next two years in a bid to build brand awareness.

UTV Cautious On Future Outlook
A continuing environment of economic uncertainty has led to a cautious outlook at UTV in Belfast. The commercial broadcaster said that its airtime bookings offer limited forward visibility and that "UTV is cautious about the remainder of the year".

Good year for Tesco as profits top £1.6bn
It has been a good year for the supermarket retailer Tesco which has seen pre-tax profits soar to £1.6 billion, according to the group's full-year preliminary statement issued today. In addition to driving up pre-tax margins by 17.6%, the company said that it had slashed its debts by £600 million, down to £4.1 billion. In the UK, sales grew by 14.
