New Hair And Training Academy Opens In Strabane
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry has officially opened the Strabane Training Services Hair and Beauty Training Academy.
Strabane Training Services provides a range of vocational education and training as part of the Department for Employment and Learning’s Training for Success and Apprenticeships training programmes.
Minister Farry said: "I am delighted to open this new Hair and Beauty Training Academy in Strabane. Helping people into sustainable employment and developing the skills of those in work are key priorities for my Department.
"I have no doubt that the excellent facilities that I have seen here will contribute to supporting training programme participants to reach their full potential in terms of education and employment, and this in turn willhelp foster and grow our local economy."

Irish employers anticipate improvement in hiring activity
Irish employment confidence is showing signs of recovery, according to results of the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey. For the quarter January to March 2003, the Net Employment Outlook is 3%, which is a modest recovery of 7% points from the previous quarter’s pessimistic outlook.
