Boy Critically Injured In Farm Accident Stable
A boy who was critically injured in a farm accident in north Antrim near Cloughmills is now in a stable condition in hospital, the Belfast Health Trust has confirmed.
It is believed the eight-year-old sustained head injuries after falling from a factor on a farm in the Old Frosses Road area on Monday.
He was taken to the Antrim Area Hospital however he was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey said: "The news of this accident has stunned the local community in the Cloughmills area. Many schools have just started their half-term holidays and this highlights the dangers that can exist around a working farm.
"My thoughts are with family at this time and I join with many others in praying that the young boy will recover from the injuries he has suffered."

Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Affairs Minister Andrew Muir MLA has announced the launch of a new pilot scheme aimed at helping farm families with succession planning. The Farming for the Generations pilot scheme is part of the DAERA's transformational Farm Support and Development Programme.

More than 500 farm family members and employees have attended First Aid Awareness training since March 2018, as part of the Farm Family Key Skills (FFKS) scheme. Up to 100 accidents which need medical attention occur each month on Northern Ireland farms.

Bereaved Families Pay Tribute To Tragic Cookstown Teens
Families of the tree tragic teens who died in a crush at a St Patricks event on Sunday have paid tribute to their lost loved ones. The young victims, 16-year-old Connor Currie, 17-year-old Lauren Bullock and 17-year-old Morgan Barnard, died after the incident at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on Sunday 17 March.
