Arson Attack On Property In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following a fire at a house in north Belfast.
The incident happened in the Greenmount Place area at around 5.30am on Saturday.
Fire crews attended the scene and put out the blaze.
Damage was caused to the kitchen and a bedroom of the property.
Police are treating the fire as arson and Detective Inspector Peter Mullan is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE

The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has introduced a new online tool to help residents assess their home fire safety. The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To North Belfast Fire
The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following an arson attack on a property in north Belfast on Wednesday 05 September. Shortly before 9.45am it was reported that an unoccupied flat on Woodland Avenue was on fire. It is believed that entry had been gained to the property before the fire started in the kitchen area.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
