Man Arrested In London Over £1.6m Drugs Find
A 47-year-old man has been arrested in London after drugs worth an estimated street value of over £1.6 million were discovered in Belfast and Portadown in 2014.
The man, who has been returned to Northern Ireland for questioning, was arrested on suspicion of a number of drug related offences including cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.
The arrest follows the discovery of suspected cannabis factories in the Haypark Avenue and Rugby Avenue areas of Belfast on 19 March, 2014.
Suspected herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £500,000 and other drugs paraphernalia were recovered from the Rugby Avenue property and suspected herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £400,000 was seized at a property in Haypark Avenue.
The suspect has also been arrested after police discovered a cannabis factory in the Church Street area of Portadown on 15 October 2014. Cannabis worth an estimated street value of more than £750,000 was seized.

Cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of £250,00 were found at a property on the Larch Road in Dungiven on Saturday. Extensive examinations were carried out at the house. The woman, 38, is assisting police with their enquiries.

A woman is due to appear in court today, 20 April, charged with drugs trafficking offences. Police seized herbal cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £3000,000, on 01 April in Co Antrim. The 54-year-old suspect is to appear Ballymena Magistrates' Court.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.
