Arts Council Funding Reinstated
Funding of £620,000 to the Arts Council has been reinstated.
The funding will now be passed on to the 32 arts organisations and £320,000 to Sport NI.
The Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Carál Ní Chuilín, said she was delighted with the announcement.
She said: "I pledged to do my utmost to secure additional funding so that some or all of this money could be reinstated.
"I made a strong case for the reinstatement of this money and I am pleased that the Finance Minister, Arlene Foster, took this into account when making reallocations during November Monitoring.
"I thank her for listening to the arguments which I made. As a result £940,000 has been secured and I know that this will be welcomed."

Finance Minister Calls For Furlough Scheme To Be Reinstated
Finance Minister, Conor Murphy has written to the Treasury to call for additional funding and for the furlough scheme to be reinstated to deal with the increased challenges presented by Omicron. NI was recently allocated £75 million, however Minister Murphy has said that £50m of this is "not new money".

Crescent Arts Centre Restoration Complete
The newly refurbished Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast has been re-opened, following an 18-month restoration project. The £7.2m scheme involved a refurbishment and restoration, which has preserved the exterior façade of the Grade II listed building. The refurbished centre includes an extension that increases the accommodation by approximately 900m2.

£1.5m Investment In Employment And Education Projects
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has announced that her Department will provide match funding for 2022/23 to European Social Fund (ESF) for employment and education projects.
