Thousands Of 'Target Dry' Jackets Stolen From East Belfast Warehouse

Police have launched an investigation after thousands of 'Target Dry' jackets were stolen from a warehouse in east Belfast.

The burglary happened at Alanbrook Park in the Castlereagh area between 13 and 16 November.

A number of cartons were taken containing jackets, fleeces and weatherproof suits.

Chief Inspector David Moore said: "While the police investigation is ongoing, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or suspicious activity in the area over that weekend, particularly of any van or lorry movements in the area, or who may have been offered Target Dry branded clothing in suspicious circumstances, to contact police at Musgrave Station on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if you would prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man in west Belfast. The man's body was discovered in the Paris Street area on Sunday night. Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A post-mortem is to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Teenager Arrested After Two Police Officers Injured In Belfast
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after two police officers were injured as trouble flared in Belfast overnight. Petrol bombs and masonry were thrown at the officers in the Woodvale Road area at around 12.50am on Wednesday. No petrol bombs made contact, however two police officers were injured after bottles were thrown at them.

Arsonists Target Dungannon Flats
Residents have been evacuated from a block of flats in Dungannon overnight as it was targeted by arsonists. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Lisnahull Park area of the County Tyrone town at around 3am this morning, Tuesday 27 August.

Fresh probe launched to find Devlin murderers
Detectives in west Belfast are launching a fresh appeal into the murder of father-of-six, Gerard Devlin on February 3, 2006. Gerard Devlin was fatally stabbed when he returned to the Whitecliff Parade area of west Belfast to collect his children who were going to stay with him for the weekend.
