Woman Seriously Injured In Co Antrim Road Crash

A woman has been seriously injured in a two-vehicle road crash in Co Antrim.

The incident happened on the Lisnavenagh Road just after 9.40am on Thursday.

Emergency services attended the scene and the road has been closed between Ballymena and Antrim.

The woman is being treated at Antrim Area Hospital.

A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "Following a serious road traffic collision between Antrim and Ballymena, one patient has been taken to Antrim Area Hospital in a serious condition."

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and diversions have been put in place.

Man Stabbed In Belfast
A man has been injured after being seriously assaulted in Belfast. The attack happened on the Antrim Road area just before 8.30am on Friday, 04 August. The victims, aged in his 30s, was stabbed twice in the back following an altercation between a number of people. He is being treated in hospital.
