Five Adventures For February
As the weather slowly begins to improve (hopefully!) and the days get incrementally brighter, it is time to start peering outside again and looking for things to help shake off the fog of winter.
Here we look at five outdoor adventures perfect for getting you outside, into the air, and in most cases up into the trees.
On the very edge of the Irish Sea, clinging to the side of Islandmagee, hangs the Causeway Coastal Route.
Described as a "re-awakened coastal experience, first enjoyed in 1902 by the Edwardians", the coastal path has been dramatically redeveloped and modernised, said to be a "white-knuckle walk which will thrill those with a sense of adventure and delight those who wish to experience the coast up close".
Our only slight disappointment is that you can only take the path alongside an official guide, but the "bridges, tunnels, caves, steps, unique rock formations and stunning views (that) will punctuate your path as you walk, presenting themselves in a different light for your return journey" easily overcome this.
