Over 40 Employers To Attend North Down Jobs Fair
More than 40 employers are expected to be in attendance at the North Down Jobs Fair, due to be held in the Marine Court Hotel, Bangor, on Thursday 25 February.
The job fair, organised by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) in conjunction with Ards and North Down Borough Council, is taking place between 10am and 4pm and will offer jobseekers the chance to discuss various job opportunities with leading companies.
A wide range of vacancies will be available as well as advice and guidance on a range of training and re-skilling opportunities. Over 40 employers including Magellan Aerospace, Denroy Group, McGees Butchers, Positive Futures, Ground Espresso Bars Ltd and the Culloden Hotel will be recruiting at the event, and a number of support and training organisations including the Prince's Trust, South Eastern Regional College and Libraries NI will also be present. Advice and guidance will also be available on a range of training and re-skilling opportunities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry said: "This event brings employers, support organisations and jobseekers together under one roof. The Job Fair has something for everyone and I would encourage anyone, whether in work, unemployed or simply considering their education and training options, to explore the services which will be available on the day.
"A range of support organisations, including my Department's Disability Employment Service, Careers Service and Employment Service, will also be present to provide information, advice and guidance on a range of training and employment schemes that can assist individuals progress towards work and equip them with the skills to compete in the labour market.
"If you're unsure what careers might suit you or how to plan your next step, why not call into the Marine Court Hotel and speak to one of the Careers Service's professionally qualified Careers Advisers?
