Drugs Paraphernalia Found On University Grounds In South Belfast
The PUP is demanding "swift action" to be taken after drugs paraphernalia was found on the grounds of Queen's University in south Belfast.
The party has contacted the PSNI and is demanding a swift implementation of a practical strategy to make communities safe from drug dealers.
In a statement the PUP said: "The PUP in South Belfast were warning of the emergence of heroin dealing and usage and the potential for an epidemic as far back as almost three years ago, our warnings to the media and statutory bodies seemed to fall on deaf ears. This will not deter us. We will continue to use our voice to demand action taken to rid the streets of this poison and remove the threat it poses to our young to prevent more lives succumbing to the cycle of addicting misery and death that follows."
Elsewhere, the SDLP has slammed drug-takers who dropped their drugs in an estate in Downpatrick which were found by a six-year-old girl.
South Down Assembly Candidate Councillor Colin McGrath said: "The suspected drugs could have posed a serious danger to any child if consumed. The possible ramifications of this incident do not bear thinking about.
"Such an incident only highlights the dangers we have within our community and the need to remove the scourge of drugs from our area.
"The PSNI was informed of the find and removed the bag for forensic testing, but it is fairly obvious that it was a bag containing drugs."

Man Charged Over Suspected Drugs Offences
The PSNI joined forces with South Wales Police and arrested a 27-year-old man over suspected drugs offences following a search. The man was taken back to NI and charged over the supply of Diazepam and Xanax.

Four Arrested Following Disorder In South Belfast
Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

Man Arrested After Dangerous Driving Pursuit And Assault Allegations
A man is currently in police custody following a dangerous driving pursuit and subsequent arrest on suspicion of multiple offences. The incident began in the early hours of Saturday, 16th November, when police received a report of an assault in the Listooder Park area of Saintfield.
