1,000 New Homes To Be Developed In Co Down
Around 500 jobs are expected to be created after plans to develop 1,000 new homes in Newtownards, Co Down, were unveiled by property developers.
Fraser Houses (NI) Ltd announced plans for the £200 million Riverwood Scheme.
The project on a 107-acre site includes bungalows, semi-detached and detached homes in the style of 'New England' architectures.
The homes will be situated on the Eastern side of Newtownards.
Alan Fraser, of Fraser Houses, said: "We're delighted to be making such a significant investment in the Northern Ireland housing market. Demand for property in Northern Ireland is increasing and confidence in the market is on the rise.
"Rivenwood will not only bring a range of unique and stylish homes to a desirable location in North Down, it will create an estimated 500 jobs and support a wide range of local industry related companies."
Construction work is expected to start in summer 2016.

A Northern Ireland building firm has slashed its house prices by almost 40%, in a fresh bid to inject life into the ailing property market. Fraser Homes has trimmed £90,000 off the price of its semi-detached properties in Glengormley, reducing the price from £229,500 to £139,950.

Approximately 50 construction jobs are to be created as part of a £50million project to develop 900 new homes in Comber, Co Down. Northern Ireland homebuilders Hagan Homes has started construction work on the first phase of the 'Enler Village' site on the Newtownards Road, which includes the development of 17 new homes.

£2.4m Belfast Housing Scheme Launched
A new £2.4m social housing scheme has been launched at Queen Victoria Gardens in north Belfast. The development will consist of 22 homes and will be built by Trinity Housing with part funding from the Northern Ireland Executive.
