Woman Injured After Refrigeration Unit Explodes In College In L'Derry
A woman has suffered minor injuries after a refrigeration unit exploded at a college in L'Derry.
The incident happened in the Tower Building of the North West Regional College shortly after 8:40am today, 12 April.
The unit blew up in the first floor canteen of the building.
Firefighters attended the scene and isolated the power and ventilated the area.
The Health & Safety Executive has launched an investigation.

Almost a year after the issue was last raised, the midwifery professional body, the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), is again at odds with the officials on staffing levels in the top Co Armagh hospital.

A woman has been extradited from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland for a 2016 theft offence. Yesterday, 17 July, the 38-year-old woman was extradited after being found guilty and sentenced for theft in 2016.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Minimum Alcohol Pricing Planned
Health Minister Jim Wells has unveiled proposals to introduce Minimum Unit Pricing for alcohol in Northern Ireland. The Minister said he has based his support for Minimum Unit Pricing (MUP) on evidence provided by the University of Sheffield in an academic piece of research.
