Family Robbed At Gunpoint In Dunmurry
A family has been robbed at gunpoint in Dunmurry.
Three masked men, two armed with handguns, forced their way into a property in Glenfearna Gardens in the Lagmore area just after 10.45pm on Friday.
They threatened three female occupants, aged 81, 49 and 25, with the firearms and tied up the 49-year-old woman.
The robbers made off in a small silver vehicle with a sum of cash.
Detective Constable Fiona Mills said: "This was a despicable act perpetrated against three generations of the one family.
"All of these women have been left understandably extremely shaken and upset by the ordeal.
"I am appealing for anyone with information about this appalling crime to get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101."

A man has been forced to hand over money while his family were held at gunpoint during an armed robbery in County Down. The man arrived at his home on the Newry Road, Kilkeel, at about 1.40am on Thursday morning and was attacked by four men. Two of which police said were at least armed.

The Northern Ireland Policing Board today outlined three key areas it wants to improve on over the next three years. The Board, which published its aims in its new Corporate Plan for the period 1 April 2005 – 31 March 2008, said it wants to improve on ‘Effectiveness, Efficiency and Public Confidence’.
