Mark Gourley Murder: Two Men Arrested
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mark Gourley.
Mr Gourley, 36, who went missing from Glengormley almost seven years ago, was last seen in the Burney's Lane area at around 2.30pm on 07 March.
He was a vulnerable individual who was on medication at the time of his disappearance.
His body has never been found.
The suspects, aged 43 and 45, are being questioned by the police.
Detective Inspector Darren McCartney said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have information about Mark's disappearance or who may have seen Mark on or after 7 March 2009 to contact police.
"Previous appeals for information did generate reports of sightings but the last definite sighting of Mark was at 2.30pm on 07 March 2009 in the Burney's Lane area of Glengormley. Mark did not have a mobile phone or a significant amount of money with him when he disappeared."
Although Mark was last seen in the Glengormley area, he was from the Castlemara area of Carrickfergus and he may have returned to the area on 07 March 2009. Police are asking for anyone who may have noticed vehicles or individuals acting suspiciously in either the Burney's Lane area of Glengormley or in the Castlemara area of Carrickfergus around 07 March 2009 to contact them.

£17m To Support Pensioners Affected By Winter Fuel Payment Changes
Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has announced a £17 million fund to support pensioners who have lost eligibility for the Winter Fuel Payment due to recent UK government changes. The one-off £100 payment will be automatically issued to an estimated 250,000 pensioners in around 170,000 households before the end of March 2025.
