Police Appeal Following Burglaries In Lisburn And Dunloy

Police have launched an investigation following a burglary at a house in Lisburn.

The incident happened in the Saintsbury Avenue area sometime between 8pm and midnight on Saturday, 30 April.

A sum of cash, a gold bracelet and a number of Royal Dalton figurines were stolen.

Detective Sergeant Tracey McIntosh is appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles or people in the area or anyone who has any information to contact Detectives in Lisburn on 101.

Elsewhere, police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Mohan Road area of Dunloy at around 1am on Sunday, 01 May.

Three masked men entered a house in and threatened the male occupant. The suspects intimated they were carrying guns and tied the occupant of the house up before making off with a sum of cash.

The victim, aged in his 40's, was not injured but was left shaken.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police have launched an investigation after reports of a shot being fired in north Belfast. No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident in the Farringdon Court area on Thursday. Police are keen to establish what happened and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police appeal following body find in house
The body of a man has been found at a house in Co Antrim on Thursday. The man, who is believed to be in his 50's, was discovered at the house in Ladysmith Terrace in the Harryville area of Ballymena at around 9pm. Police have appealed for information into tracing the man's movements over the last few days.
