Woman Threatened During Burglary In South Belfast

A woman has been threatened by a man armed with a screwdriver during a burglary in south Belfast.

The incident happened at a house in the Lancefield Road area at around 3.15pm on Saturday, 07 May.

The suspect forced his way into the property, however he was disturbed by the woman who he threatened before he made off empty handed.

He is described as being approximately 5ft 8inches in height, approximately 19 years old, of slim build, swarthy complexion and spoke with an eastern European accent. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark blue tracksuit top and a grey t-shirt.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Pair Mugged In South Belfast
A man and woman have been mugged in south Belfast. The man was punched and the woman was threatened at knifepoint in the Malone Road area on Thursday at approximately 7.30pm. A man approached the pair and punched the other man to the ground, threatened the woman with a knife and demanded money.

Woman Threatened At Gunpoint In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation after a woman was threatened by a man at gunpoint in County Antrim on Monday. The man, believed to be in his mid 20s, called at a house in Colinvale, Dunmurry, at approximately 6pm. He confronted the woman and pointed a gun at her. Police believe he made off in a gold coloured car.

Man To Appear In Court Charged With Robbery In North Belfast
A man is to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, 19 April, charged with a robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast. The incident happened at premises on the Crumlin Road at around 7.35pm on Sunday. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.
