Funeral Held For Dan Murray

The funeral has taken place of Dan Murray at Holy Trinity Church in West Belfast.

The 55-year-old father-of-six was shot and killed as he delivered a takeaway at Lady Street on Monday 09 May.

Mourners at the funeral heard from Fr Brendan Smyth, who said that Mr Murray had his life "snuffed out in the blink of an eye".

It is understood that two people have been arrested during the investigation into Mr Murray's murder, but have since been released without charge.

The investigation is ongoing.

Ryan Farquhar's Condition Now Described As 'Stable'

Ryan Farquhar is now said to be in a stable condition in hospital and has been moved out of the intensive care unit.

Mr Farquhar, 40, was seriously injured in a high-speed accident during the opening Supertwins race at the North West 200 on Thursday 12 May.

The Co Tyrone racer was airlifted to hospital following the accident and he had been described as "seriously ill".

Police Appeal After Aggravated Burglary In Belfast

Police have appealed for information following an aggravated burglary at a flat in the College Square North area of Belfast on Saturday, 14 May.

Police received a report that sometime between 4.45pm and 5pm, three males forced their way into the flat. One male stayed at the front door and the other two assaulted the male occupant. He received minor injuries to his head.

Detective Sergeant Michelle Griffin appealed to anyone who was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Work carried out by the Mae Murray Foundation in partnership with Newry, Mourne & Down District Council has made Cranfield only the second beach in Northern Ireland that offers facilities to make it accessible for all ages and abilities.

Powered Wheelchairs Now Available For Young Children In NI
Families in Northern Ireland can now access free powered wheelchairs for children with disabilities thanks to a new charity partnership. The Mae Murray Foundation has teamed up with the UK assistive technology charity Designability to provide Wizzybugs to disabled children under five.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Missing Co Tyrone Woman
A 46-year-old man has been charged over the murder of a missing Co Tyrone woman. Charlotte Murray disappeared from the Moy area five years ago. She hasn't been seen since October 2012. The suspect was detained by the police on Monday, 23 October. He is due to appear before Strabane Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 26 October.
