Co Fermanagh Named Friendliest Place In The UK

County Fermanagh has been named the friendliest place in the UK, according to a new poll.

The poll, part of the Big Lottery's Big Lunch, also included five other counties in Northern Ireland in the top ten.

Counties Armagh, Antrim, Tyrone L'Derry and Down were also included in the top ten.

The findings aim to bring communities together.

Search Resumes For 'Disappeared' Victim
The search has resumed for the remains of one of the so call 'Disappeared' victims, Columba McVeigh, in Bragan, County Monaghon. Mr McVeigh was 19 when he was taken from his Dunaghmore home, and murdered by the IRA in 1975.

Pair Cautioned As Dog Dies In Car
Two people have been cautioned for animal cruelty after a dog died while locked in a vehicle on Sunday. The puppy passed away in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh after members of the public had heroically attempted to rescue it by breaking the car window as temperatures reached the mid-twenties. Unfortunately the dog could not be saved.

Five Firms 'Not Paying Minimum Wage'
Five Northern Irish companies have been named in a government list of firms failing to pay their staff the UK minimum wage. The five NI firms join a list of seventy others who do not pay the standard minimum wage for workers over 21, which stands at £6.50 per hour.
