Two Arrested Following Police Chase Across Belfast

Two men have been arrested following a car chase across Belfast.

A Volkswagen Golf was stolen from the Camden Street area on Wednesday and later failed to stop for police in north Belfast.

The pursuit, which also involved a police helicopter, began in south Belfast and was brought to a halt in the Ballymacarret Road area of east Belfast by officers from the Auto Crime Team.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "One man aged 22 has been arrested on suspicion of 10 offences including aggravated taking and driving away (TADA), burglary and a number of driving offences.

"The other man, aged 33, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated TADA, burglary and going equipped for theft."

The pair are currently being detained in police custody.

Micheal McGibbon Murder: Man And Woman Arrested
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Michael McGibbon in north Belfast. Mr McGibbon, 33, was shot a number of times in an alleyway in the Ardoyne area on Friday, 15 April. He was taken to hospital to be treated, however he died from his injuries.

Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery
Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night. Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.
