Major Search Operation To Resume For Missing Light Aircraft
A major search operation is to resume after a light aircraft went missing leaving the City of Derry airport.
The microlight aircraft, which was carrying two passengers, is understood to have been bound for Scotland.
The aircraft was reported overdue at 8.30pm on Thursday, 09 June.
On Thursday evening, five lifeboats were launched from Larne and Red Bay in Northern Ireland and Portpatrick in Scotland.
Fog forced the Coastguard to suspend its search, however it is expected to start as soon as the fog lifts.

Bombardier shelves CSeries project
Aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has shelved its planned 110 to 130-seater CSeries airliner as it shifts resources to work on regional jet and turboprop aircraft. Bombardier announced that "present market conditions do not justify the launch of the CSeries jet at this time".

Woman Arrested Over False Reports Of Baby Falling From A Ferry
A 37-year-old woman has been arrested for wasting police time after false reports a baby had fallen into the Belfast Lough. A major search operation was carried out, however it was called off in Thursday afternoon. Police said they no longer believed a baby had fallen into the water.

Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.

Funeral for dinghy tragedy teenager
A Coleraine teenager, who drowned off the coast of Castlerock, is to be buried today. Robert McMullan, 15, died when the dinghy he was in with a friend got into difficulties and capsized on Tuesday. He was airlifted to hospital, but died later. His friend managed to swim to shore and raised the alarm.
