20 Graduates To Take Part In Training Programme

A total of 20 graduates are to take part in a training programme as part of the launch of Deloitte's first Cloud Academy.

The nine-week training programme will be delivered by the Belfast Metropolitan College and will focus on Cloud computing and new areas such as python and cloud applications.

On completion of the course the graduates will be interviewed for a position with Deloitte.

Economy Minister Simon Hamilton said: "Cloud Technology is a key component of the thriving IT sector here. Northern Ireland's advanced telecoms network means it is a prime location for the deployment and use of Cloud Technologies.

"This Academy is an excellent example of how I am determined to help our graduates into employment by providing them with the skills to meet the requirements of our local companies. The continuing commitment from companies such as Deloitte to create jobs in Northern Ireland is hugely important to our continued prosperity."
