Ticket Applications Being Accepted for BBC Proms In The Park
Ticket applications for BBC Proms in the Park, which is being held at the Titanic Slipways in Belfast, are now being accepted.
Tickets to the event on Saturday, 10 September, are complimentary and will be allocated following a random draw.
The event will bring together some internationally acclaimed performers from home and around the world. They will be performing alongside the Ulster Orchestra under the baton of David Brophy, in a programme which combines classical and contemporary music and a few Proms surprises.
It is part of the UK-wide celebrations of the Last Night of the Proms. It will link festivities in the Royal Albert Hall with BBC events in Hyde Park, London, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The BBC Proms remains the world’s largest classical music festival, with over 90 events taking place across eight weeks.
BBC Proms in the Park in Northern Ireland will be hosted by Noel Thompson and Claire McCollum.
This event is supported by Belfast City Council.
Belfast Lord Mayor, Alderman Brian Kingston, said: "I am delighted that we are again hosting the BBC Proms in the Park concert, and look forward to another great evening of entertainment. This is always a night to remember and provides an opportunity to showcase our city, particularly as the setting is the iconic backdrop of Titanic Belfast."
No applications will be accepted after Friday, 15 July.
