Police Seize 16 Petrol Bombs In West Belfast
Police have seized 16 petrol bombs in west Belfast.
The bombs were found in the Colinview Street area earlier this week.
One petrol bomb was also thrown at officers at Lanarark Way on Monday, 11 July, while they were standing with a crowd of people including small children.
Fortunately the device failed to ignite.
On a Facebook post a PSNI officer described the attack as "sheer recklessness".
He said: "Have a think about what you are doing engaging in this type of behaviour, it can't be stressed enough how dangerous this is. Are we really promoting a society where people are effectively trying to set light to police officers at their days work?"
