WRC Host Meeting On Recruitment Of Mental Health Nurses
SIPTU representatives have met with the Health Service Executive (HSE) at a meeting hosted by the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to discuss industrial issues preventing the recruitment and retention of mental health nurses.
Ahead of the meeting, SIPTU Sector Organiser, Kevin Figgis said: "This engagement with the HSE includes the application of a nursing community allowance to new beneficiaries and to agree other mechanisms which will assist the further recruitment and retention of mental health nurses."
SIPTU said further updates on the outcome of the discussions would be released when appropriate.
