Police Recover Body From River
Police investigating the disappearance of a man from Co Antrim have recovered a body from the River Bann, Co Derry.
John Thompson, 56, from Ballyclare, has been missing since Saturday.
The PSNI had issued an appeal for information to help find Mr Thompson.
He was last seen in the Portstewart area and police believed he had a bicycle with him at the time he went missing. Clothing thought to belong to Mr Thompson was found at Bar Mouth near Castlerock on Sunday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police in Coleraine investigating the disappearance of 56 year old John Thompson can confirm that the body of a male has been located in the River Bann today.
"A formal identification and postmortem will take place in due course however at this time police are not treating the death as suspicious."

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

A Co Down firm that develops revolutionary aircraft seating designs for major airlines has really taken-off today with news of a £5.2m fillip. Stormont Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster today announced that the move, at Thompson Aero Seating in Kilkeel, will create 49 highly skilled jobs.
