Home Of Late Musician Stephen Martin Burgled
PSNI Foyle have issued an appeal for information following a burglary at the home of late musician, Stephen Martin.
Mr Martin, who performed under the name Rainy Boy Sleep, was found dead on a beach in Co Sligo on 13 August. He had been missing for a number of weeks prior to the discovery.
Mr Martin's home on Great James Street in L'Derry was burgled sometime between 10.30am on Thursday 11 August and 11.30am on Friday 12 August.
A number of pieces of musical equipment were stolen from the young musicians home including a blue Fender Stratocaster guitar, a Yahama EZ-200 keyboard, two amplifiers – a Fender Deluxe and Roland Microcube – and a Saffire Pro 24 soundcard.
Police said at the time of the burglary the area surrounding Great James Street, which is found between Francis Street and Infirmary Road, would have been busy with preparations for the funeral of Bishop Daly, which took place on the 11 August 2016.
PSNI Foyle posted on Facebook: "We are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or have information about the incident or anyone who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact police at Strand Road on 101.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Man Charged Over £120,000 Cannabis Find
A 23-year-old man has been charged after police seized herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £120,000 in Omagh. The drugs were found after a vehicle was stopped and searched on the Great Northern Road just before 3pm on Friday, 25 August. Around 13kgs of suspected cutting agent for a class A drug were also found.

Minister welcomes launch of emergency procedures leaflet
NIO Minister Angela Smith has welcomed today's Home Office announcement that every home in Northern Ireland is to receive a leaflet informing them of what to do in the event of an emergency. The leaflet 'Preparing for Emergencies, what you need to know' is part of a Government public information campaign which will run over the next four weeks.
