Malone Road Reopens After Subsidence Incident

The Malone Road in Belfast has reopened after a section of the road subsided.

The road was closed between Eglantine Avenue and Wellington Park after a small hole was discovered on Sunday, 28 August.

An investigation was launched and work to repair the hole got underway.

The work has been completed and the road has since reopened.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Co Down Road Reopens Following Fire
A County Down road has reopened following a fire on Friday, 14 July. The Church Street area in Downpatrick was closed and diversions were put in place. The fire was discovered by officers on mobile patrol who were in attendance at a flat and they raised the alarm and residents were able to exit their properties.
