Teen Arrested After Stolen Cars Driven Dangerously In West Belfast

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested following reports that two stolen cars were being driven dangerously in west Belfast.

The vehicles were spotted in Albert Street and Ross Street just before 4pm on Wednesday, 31 August.

The police operation involved staff from the Belfast City Policing District, the Operational Support Department and Air Support Unit.

The two vehicles, a blue coloured Kia and a silver coloured Honda, have been recovered.

The teenager has been detained in police custody.

Class A Drugs And Money Seized In West Belfast
A total of £20,000 of Class A drugs have been seized following a search in west Belfast. The drugs and a sum of cash were found during a planned search in the McDonnell Street area on Sunday, 21 January. A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drugs and money laundering offences.

Man Stabbed In West Belfast
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Hawthorn Street area at around 1.40pm on Thursday. The victim is believed to be in his 30s. A section of Hawthorn Street was closed and police examined the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
