Firefighter dies following hotel fire
A firefighter has died following a fire at a Hotel in Limavady at the weekend.
Joe McCloskey, 50, from Dungiven, died in hospital on Sunday after he fell through the roof of a store room at Gorteen House Hotel as he tackled a blaze.
The father of five suffered extensive burns to his body as colleagues struggled to rescue him from the inferno.
Five of his colleagues suffered minor injuries as a result of their rescue attempts during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Northern Ireland's Chief Fire Officer, Colin Lammey, paid tribute to Mr McCloskey who was in his 25th year of service with the Fire Brigade.
Forensic tests are currently being carried out to establish the cause of the blaze, however it is thought that the fire may have been started deliberately.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

Four Arrested Following Disorder In South Belfast
Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.
