Carrick Rangers Manager Resigns

Carrick Rangers manager Kieran Harding has resigned.

The team were beat by 3-0 to Dungannon Swifts on Saturday, 24 September.

In a statement the club said: "Carrick Rangers Football Club wishes to announce that Kieran Harding has resigned as first team manager with immediate effect.

"The Club would like to thank Kieran for his hard work and effort, and we wish him well for the future."

Carrick Rangers have not won their last six games.

Police in Newtownabbey have appealed for information following a report of a bogus caller in the Greenisland area yesterday morning. Police have said that a a man claiming to be from the water service called to a house in the Old Carrick Road area of the town.

Caretaker Manager of Rangers Football Club, Kenny McDowall, has resigned from his position. He cited "personal reasons" for stepping down from the post. Mr McDowall will serve his 12-month notice period.

Northern Ireland defender Gareth McAuley has signed a deal with Rangers until the end of the season. He left West Bromwich Albion in the summer. The former Ipswich centre-back has 79 international caps and played at Euro 2016.
