Finn Harps Captain Kevin McHugh Severs Finger
Former Derry City footballer Kevin McHugh has had surgery on his finger after his wedding ring got caught in a fence.
The Finn Harps club captain said he was chasing after a football when the incident occurred.
He tweeted a photo of the injury and wrote: "Think that's my season over."
Following the surgery he wrote: "Op over. Unfortunately finger to badly damaged to repair properly. Thanks for all ur messages, cant reply to all. Esp with 1 hand! #Moveon".

Firm Fined After Teen Lost Top Of Finger
Capital Reinforcing (Ireland) Ltd was fined a total of £12,500 plus £1,000 costs after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing at Laganside Crown Court to three breaches of health and safety legislation. The case against the company was brought by the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI).

Partner Buy-Out As Obel Hotel Goes On Long Finger
There's to be no hotel - at present - in the recently recommenced multimillion pound riverside Obel 'skyscraper' building in Belfast. Work restarted earlier this month after a fresh planning application was granted - and has now seen the site cleared up after being left for one year, pending the new permission.

Tourist's Finger Found In Fence
Claims by a teen tourist who alleged that he had lost his finger in an anti-British racist attack on St Patrick’s Day have been sensationally disproved. Guy Wallace, 17, originally told police his finger was severed by a gang who attacked him because he was English.
