Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack in Newry on St Patrick's Day in 2012.

A 31-year-old man was assaulted by two men in the Monaghan Street area on Saturday, 17 March, four years ago.

The suspect is to appear before Armagh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 18 October.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Man Charged With Murder And Attempted Murder In Downpatrick
A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder following the death of Stephen Brannigan and the serious assault of a priest in Downpatrick on Sunday, 10 August. The body of 56-year-old Mr Brannigan was discovered at a house in the Marian Park area of the town. On the same day, a priest was seriously assaulted at St Patrick's Church.

Man To Appear In Court Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder and will appear in court on Wednesday, 17 October. The charge against the 46-year-old is in connection with an incident in the Coolcullen Meadow area of Enniskillen on Sunday, 14 October.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder Dies In Custody
A man charged with attempted murder has died in custody. 42-year-old James Carlisle, from the Harbour Road in Kilkeel, was due to appear in court next week. It is understood his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
