Investigation Launched After Lit Fireworks Thrown From Car In Newry

Four people have been cautioned following reports that passengers in a car were throwing lit fireworks out of the vehicle in Newry, Co Down.

The incident happened in the Monaghan Street area on Tuesday, 18 October.

Police believe a male and female who were walking a dog on Monaghan Street may have been targeted and are keen to speak to them.

The car has since been located.

The suspects were cautioned for a variety of offences and a report has been sent to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
