Taxi Driver Hit On Head And Forced Into Car Boot In South Belfast
A taxi driver has been hit on the head and forced into the boot of his car in south Belfast.
The incident happened in the Knockbracken Road area on Sunday, 30 October.
A masked man armed with a gun approached the victim as he sat in his car in a lay-by.
The man demanded money, struck him on the head and forced him into the boot of the vehicle.
He made off with a sum of cash in a red Seat car which had a second male inside.
The driver was left badly shaken after the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Trading Standards warn of counterfeit goods at car boot sales
The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s Trading Standards Service (TSS) has warned the general public to be wary of counterfeit goods on sale at car boot sales. The TSS made the warning as it advised organisers that it will be visiting car boot sales over the coming months to ensure such goods are not on sale.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.
