Man Arrested Over Right-Wing Extremism

Police have arrested a man in Ballymena, Co Antrim, as part of an investigation linked to right wing extremism.

The arrest is in connection with "extreme right-wing views about tensions in north eastern Europe and suspicious activity in a forest in Co Antrim", according to the police.

The 26-year-old suspect is currently being questioned by the PSNI in Belfast.

Four men arrested last week as part of the investigation were released pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Men Arrested In Connection With Right-Wing Extremism Released
Four men arrested in connection with right-wing extremism have been released. The men, aged 29, 30, 36 and 46, were arrested following house searches in Ballymena and Coleraine on Wednesday, 26 October. The men have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.
