Renewed Appeal Into Joe Reilly Murder
Police investigating the murder of Joe Reilly last month have renewed their appeal for information.
Mr Reilly, 43, was shot at his home in the Glenwood Court area of Poleglass, west Belfast, on Thursday 20 October.
Today, detectives from Serious Crime Branch have issued a specific appeal for information about a person on a bicycle. Police believe the bicycle was in the area immediately after Mr Reilly was shot.
In a statement, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said: "I am appealing to anyone who knows anything about someone on a push bike or saw a person on a bike in the Bell Steel Road area immediately after the shooting. This bike may have been in the Glenwood area.
"I need to speak to anyone who saw the bike, who was on it or where it went. Our revisit to the scene last Thursday night was productive but we need more assistance from the community if we are going to take the gun which killed Joe off the streets and put his killers in front of a court."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
