Resurfacing Scheme Announced For Enniskillen
A £358,000 resurfacing scheme has been announced for the A46 Lough Shore Road Enniskillen to Belleek.
Work will commence on the project on Monday, 07 November and is expected to take four weeks to complete.
The work involves resurfacing a 1.28km section of the road at Carrickreagh at a cost of around £145,000. A 1.845km section at Cosbytown, at a cost of around £213,000, will also be carried out.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard said: "Improving transport connections along key routes while maintaining a network, which is fit for purpose, is a priority for my Department and the wider Executive.
"This local investment will improve the strength and surface quality of this important Enniskillen to Belleek road. The improvement will deliver benefits for the local community and visitors to the Fermanagh area for many years to come."

A £150,000 resurfacing project is to start on the A32 Enniskillen Road. The work is to begin on 5 May and is expected to last for five days. The road will be closed to traffic throughout the period of work and traffic diversions will be in place.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), emergency services, and victim support groups have launched Road Safety Week 2024, highlighting the devastating impact of road traffic collisions. On average, one person loses their life on Northern Ireland's roads every week, with 57 fatalities recorded so far this year.
