Teenagers Trapped By Flood Waters In Co Antrim
Three teenagers had to be rescued from the roof of their car after it became trapped in flood waters in Country Antrim.
According to reports the teenagers, two males and a female all aged 19, were driving on the Livery Road when their car was engulfed by fast moving flood water. It is understood that the water was deep enough to submerge the car above its bumper, shorting out the car's electrics.
The teenagers made a 999 call before climbing onto the roof of the car and waiting for emergency services.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service praised the teenagers for their quick thinking in finding a safe place to wait for rescue.
The incident happened at around 7pm on Thursday, 10 November, on the Livery Road at Stranocum.
