Man Killed In Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A man has died in a road collision between L'Derry and Belfast.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on the Foreglen Road in the early hours of Monday morning, 05 December.
A car and van were involved in the collision, according to the PSNI.
Diversions have been put in place and motorists are being warned to expect delays.
Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald said: "I would like to express my sympathies to the family and friends of the man who has died as a result of this morning's crash.
"This is the second death on the A6 in weeks and as we enter into the winter months, I would urge all road users to exercise care and caution on the roads at all times and to allow for extra travelling time if conditions are poor.
"The A6 is a very important commuter and haulage route so I will be meeting with the Infrastructure Minister to discuss the broader road safety issues on this stretch of the road."
