Investigation Launched After Cigarettes With £5,000 Stolen From Van
Police have launched an investigation following the theft of £5,000 worth of cigarettes in Belfast.
The cigarettes were stolen from a delivery van as it was driving in the Great Georges Street area at around 6.15am on Monday, 12 December.
A car stopped suddenly in front of the van at traffic lights near the Westlink.
A man went into the back of the cargo, stole the cigarettes and made off in a small, dark-coloured Ford car.
The driver was not injured, however he was shocked.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
