New schools project launched in Belfast

A new schools project, which aims to "showcase the creativity, innovation and talent of young people throughout Northern Ireland", was launched in Belfast today.

The Adream Project for Schools is an internationally scalable gateway to a sophisticated Schools’ Directory which will initially offer every school in Northern Ireland a Mini-web presence.

Internet enabled, the Project will focus on works of Drama, Art, Music, Prose and ‘Lego Creations’ showcased on ‘Galleries’ within each schools web site.

The launch of the Project took place at the Waterfront Hall featuring a multi-media extravaganza.

Around 2,000 attendees, including children from the project’s pilot schools, UK and local celebrities, were there for the official launch.

Prior to the launch, an exhibition by over 10 major Adream sponsoring organisations helped promote corporate responsibility initiatives involving young people.

The Adream project is part funded by the European Union.
