Tower Museum Closed For Essential Maintenance Work

Tower Museum in Co L'Derry has closed its doors to allow for essential maintenance work in the building.

The Museum, which is located in Union Hall Place, charts the history of the city through the centuries and is one of the city's most popular visitor attractions. The facility is now closed until Monday 16 January to allow for refurbishment works to flooring and the public reception area.

Museums Services manager Michelle Murray apologised for any inconvenience to the public saying: "The Museum will be closed for a short time in the New Year so we can focus on carrying out some essential repairs and improvements. The work has been scheduled for early in January to ensure the museum is looking its best during our busy summer tourist season.

"We hope that disruption to service will be kept to a minimum and we look forward to seeing the new look reception when the work is completed in the coming weeks."
